about

"Flying Lemur II"
This is a completely different approach to the composition than the version on ETI, recorded as a reprise of the theme during the same extended ETI/ETII sessions. As a child I had an incredibly vivid dream that I had a flying lemur as a companion. The flying lemur (Cynocephalus volans) isn't in fact a Lemur at all, and it can't in fact fly. Which makes it truly beautifully named.

"Armageddon in Retrospect" (Parts I-VI)
This was my first exploration into entirely electronic music. Recorded to multitrack tape around 2014-15, utilising a chamber orchestra of Juno 6, terminally sick Korg Poly-800II, practice amplifiers, megaphone and cheap echo boxes.
For many (non-musical) reasons it was put to one side, coming close to release a number of times but being pulled back in favour of other projects. I keep coming back to it though, it's unlike any other record I've made.

"Elegy (2084)" dates from the ETIV sessions, a study on Rhodes Mk.1, Moog Ring Modulator, Analogue Solutions and Koma Elektronik sequencers and filters and Moog Delay. A mournful piano piece for humankind.
